How the math works

• Concentration (mg/mL) = Vial Amount (mg) ÷ Water Added (mL)
• Volume for target = Target Amount (mcg) ÷ 1000 ÷ Concentration (mg/mL)
• Syringe units = Volume (mL) × 100, since a standard 1mL insulin syringe is marked in 100 units
